What’s with the Cruise Ships losing engine power at sea?
One with engine room fire off SoCal and now one in Antarctic seas. Are these cruise ships becoming dangerously convenient for luxury while sacrificing safety and sufficient engine power and back up? Big waves are an ENHANCED feature of current climate change, do we have to wait for another Titanic style tragedy before banning their use in dangerous areas like the most recent case? The windows were not strong enough and as I heard damaged engine controls or electronics. Something like that, it needs a careful investigation.
Are they aware of the enhanced dangers from big waves?
It makes ya wonder doesn’t it. Some of these cruise companies really care about safety. For instance, recently a tour bus was robbed in St Kitts. It was a celebrity cruise tour bus. So celebrity canceled the tour, but Princess canceled going to the whole island and went to Antigua instead. I think that shows Princess really were concerned for the safety of their passengers. Celebrity, not so much.
